We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic-minded Consultant to join our Technology Planning & Excellence team. This pivotal role is designed to bridge the gap between business objectives and technology initiatives, ensuring that our organization remains at the forefront of innovation while maintaining operational excellence. As a Consultant, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our technology strategy, driving portfolio governance, and delivering measurable business value through technology investments and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Consultant will be responsible for translating high-level business goals into actionable technology strategies and roadmaps. Your work will directly influence the organization’s ability to leverage technology for sustainable growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage. Below are the core areas of focus for this role:

Technology Strategy & Roadmap Development

• Strategy Formulation: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Technology Strategy that aligns with corporate objectives, ensuring that technology initiatives are both innovative and practical.
• Strategic Roadmapping: Create and maintain detailed technology roadmaps that outline priorities, milestones, and target outcomes, providing a clear path for execution.
• Continuous Strategy Review: Regularly assess and refine the technology strategy to adapt to evolving business needs, organizational priorities, and emerging technology trends.

Strategic Portfolio & Investment Management

• Initiative Prioritization: Evaluate and prioritize technology initiatives based on their potential business value, strategic alignment, urgency, and expected benefits.
• Portfolio Optimization: Identify and address gaps, overlaps, and resource constraints within the technology portfolio to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
• Budget & Resource Alignment: Ensure that projects, investments, and resources are fully aligned with approved strategic priorities, fostering accountability and transparency.

Architecture, Innovation & Technology Assessment

• Enterprise Architecture Compliance: Ensure that all technology initiatives comply with established Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, and target-state architecture frameworks.
• Emerging Technology Evaluation: Assess new and emerging technologies to determine their suitability, potential value, associated risks, and implementation feasibility.
• Innovation & Transformation: Identify and champion opportunities for digital transformation, including AI, cloud computing, automation, and technology modernization initiatives.

Strategy Performance & Executive Governance

• Performance Monitoring: Define and track strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), initiative progress, benefits realization, risks, and dependencies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Executive Reporting: Prepare and present strategic dashboards, reports, and insights to senior management, highlighting performance trends, risks, gaps, and actionable recommendations.
• Data-Driven Decision Support: Provide timely, accurate, and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making, enabling leadership to make informed choices with confidence.

Project Planning, Control & Portfolio Management

• Project Baseline Establishment: Ensure that all projects are initiated with clearly defined scope, schedule, milestones, resources, deliverables, and approved baselines.
• Project Monitoring & Oversight: Continuously monitor project progress, including RAG (Red-Amber-Green) status, milestones, KPIs, and performance against baselines to identify and address deviations promptly.
• Portfolio Visibility: Consolidate project information into comprehensive dashboards and reports, providing stakeholders with a clear view of the overall portfolio health and performance.

Project Risk, Change & Control Management

• RAID Management: Establish and maintain Risk, Assumption, Issue, and Dependency (RAID) registers, ensuring that mitigation actions are implemented and monitored effectively.
• Change & Deviation Control: Review and manage changes to project scope, schedule, cost, resources, and baselines, ensuring that all modifications are properly assessed and approved.
• Escalation & Approval: Facilitate the necessary approvals for project changes, holds, cancellations, or extensions, and escalate critical risks and issues to senior management for timely resolution.

Technology Governance & Compliance

• Governance Frameworks: Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of technology governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Policy Adherence: Ensure that all technology initiatives adhere to relevant regulatory, industry, and organizational standards, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
