Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on expertise in Odoo ERP, comprehensive knowledge of accounting operations, and a deep understanding of Saudi VAT and ZATCA requirements. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including but not limited to:

• Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting activities using Odoo ERP, including transaction processing, General Ledger (GL) management, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Reconciliations: Perform complex and high-volume reconciliations for customers, vendors, and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Journal Entries and Adjustments: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments to maintain accurate financial records.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist with the preparation and finalization of accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare trial balances, financial schedules, and supporting documentation for financial statements and regulatory compliance.
• VAT Compliance: Handle VAT-related transactions, reporting, and tax invoices in strict adherence to ZATCA requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Audit Support: Provide comprehensive support during audit preparations, including the preparation of supporting schedules and resolving audit queries efficiently.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare accounting and financial reports, conduct detailed reconciliation analysis, and investigate accounting discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Advanced Excel Utilization: Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis, to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field—minimum 4-year degree or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven, hands-on accounting experience in Saudi Arabia, with a strong focus on financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Odoo ERP Expertise: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Odoo ERP in accounting/finance, which is a mandatory requirement.
• Certifications: IFRS certification with a strong understanding of international accounting principles and standards.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, accounts finalization, and financial reporting.
• Reconciliation Expertise: Advanced experience in performing complex customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• VAT and ZATCA Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of VAT, ZATCA requirements, VAT reporting, and Saudi tax invoices.
• Closing and Audit Support: Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing processes as well as audit preparations.
• Excel Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex accounting discrepancies with a proactive approach.
• Verification: All academic and professional certificates must be verifiable.
• Preferred Qualification: SOCPA registration/membership is an added advantage.
