Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team at TestCrew, based in Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and operations, with a passion for automation, scalability, and continuous improvement. As an SRE, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, fostering a culture of reliability and resilience within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• System Reliability: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available systems to meet the demands of our growing user base. Monitor system health, performance metrics, and uptime to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
• Automation & Tooling: Develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, and frameworks to streamline operational tasks, reduce manual intervention, and enhance efficiency. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage and provision resources consistently and reliably.
• Incident Management: Lead and participate in incident response efforts, including root cause analysis (RCA) and post-mortem reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Implement optimizations to enhance response times, reduce latency, and improve overall user experience.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with software development, QA, and DevOps teams to align on reliability goals and best practices. Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to foster a culture of reliability and continuous learning within the team.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures, including monitoring, auditing, and vulnerability management.
• Capacity Planning: Assess current and future system capacity needs to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness. Develop and maintain capacity plans to support business growth and seasonal demand fluctuations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps, Google Professional DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Operational Experience: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios), logging systems (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement is essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
