Receptionist - The Jeddah EDITION

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and professional Receptionist to join the team at The Jeddah EDITION, a flagship property that redefines luxury hospitality through its blend of avant-garde design, impeccable service, and unparalleled guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our distinguished guests, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication, delivering exceptional service, and upholding the brand’s commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as the welcoming face of The Jeddah EDITION, managing all aspects of guest interactions with professionalism and warmth. Your responsibilities will include:

• Guest Communication: Answer, record, and process all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns via telephone, email, chat, and mobile communication devices. Operate the telephone switchboard efficiently, managing wake-up calls, and directing calls to the appropriate departments with accuracy and courtesy.
• Message Management: Receive, record, and relay messages promptly and accurately. Log all guest requests or issues into the property management system, coordinate with relevant departments (such as Bellperson or Housekeeping), and follow up with guests to ensure their concerns are resolved to their satisfaction.
• Guest Information & Services: Provide guests with detailed information about room amenities, property features, and local attractions. Assist with room service orders, answer questions about menu selections, and process transactions through the point-of-sale system. Additionally, help guests access in-room entertainment and internet services.
• Professional Conduct & Standards: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a polished and professional appearance. Uphold the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to brand standards, anticipate their needs, and assist individuals with disabilities with sensitivity and care.
• Team Collaboration: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across departments to support team goals. Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members, ensuring a cohesive and efficient workflow. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards at all times.
• Physical Demands: Perform job duties that may require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of service.
• Additional Duties: Fulfill other reasonable job responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to support the overall operations of the hotel.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, you will bring a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. While prior work experience in a similar role is not required, a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding service are essential. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A customer-centric mindset with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests and team members.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, including property management software and point-of-sale systems.
• The ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hotel’s operational needs.
