Position Overview

As a Financial Operations Analyst at HALA, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial performance by meticulously analyzing operational data, identifying trends, and recommending strategic actions to optimize profit margins. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, support financial reporting, and contribute to the company’s growth trajectory in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and Validate Tax Data: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of customer tax data by regularly updating records, verifying information, and correcting discrepancies to align with regulatory requirements.
• Tax Invoice and Credit Note Management: Prepare, review, and validate customer data for tax invoices and credit notes, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and tracking discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting financial data, verifying payment accuracy, and ensuring alignment with documented processes to prevent errors and discrepancies.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data upon request, develop standard metrics, and assist in preparing monthly reporting schedules to support leadership decision-making.
• Budget Variance Analysis: Collaborate with various departments to identify key drivers of budget variances, providing insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Process Improvement Initiatives: Lead and drive process improvement opportunities within the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial standards.
• Cost Analysis and Presentation: Prepare, consolidate, review, and present monthly cost analysis to finance and operations leadership teams, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to gather insights, support management reporting, and contribute to the development of financial strategies that align with HALA’s long-term objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Experience: Minimum of two to five years of relevant experience in financial operations, accounting, or a similar analytical role, with a proven track record of delivering accurate and actionable financial insights.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and experience with computerized ledger systems are essential for data analysis and reporting.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic is required to effectively communicate with stakeholders and ensure compliance with regional financial regulations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Possession of a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus and demonstrates a commitment to professional excellence in financial analysis.
