MEP Project Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialize in presales, estimation, and tendering, playing a pivotal role in driving business growth through accurate technical and commercial evaluations. This position requires a deep understanding of MEP systems, cost analysis, and project coordination, ensuring seamless execution from initial inquiry to project handover. The MEP Project Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients to deliver competitive bids and foster long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical and Commercial Quotation Preparation: Develop precise and competitive technical and commercial quotations for MEP projects, aligning with client requirements and market standards.
• Document Review and Analysis: Thoroughly evaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Cost Estimation and Pricing Analysis: Conduct detailed cost estimation, including material, labor, and overhead expenses, while performing comprehensive pricing analysis to optimize project profitability.
• Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing, verify material availability, and ensure timely delivery of services and products.
• Bid Submission and Tender Documentation: Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals and tender documentation, adhering to client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Presales Support and Client Engagement: Actively participate in presales activities, including technical discussions with clients, to address inquiries, clarify project requirements, and present tailored solutions.
• Project Reporting and Progress Tracking: Collect, analyze, and report on project progress, ensuring transparency and alignment with project timelines and milestones.
• Technical Clarifications and Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical queries, provide clarifications, and ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within project designs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in MEP estimation, presales, or tendering within a reputable organization.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, BOQ preparation, cost estimation methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD for drafting, documentation, and data analysis.
• Communication and Analytical Abilities: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to interpret complex project data.
• Regional Experience: Prior work experience in Saudi Arabia is highly advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with local regulations, market conditions, and business practices.
