Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planning & Scheduling Specialist to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

The Planning & Scheduling Specialist will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating comprehensive project schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets. Your core duties will include:

• Schedule Development & Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software. Ensure schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with contractual obligations and client expectations.
• Resource Allocation & Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources effectively, balancing workloads and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project milestones.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential scheduling risks, such as delays, resource constraints, or external dependencies, and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress against established baselines, generate accurate and timely reports, and communicate deviations or variances to stakeholders. Provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless coordination, resolve scheduling conflicts, and foster a collaborative project environment.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all scheduling activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Parsons’ internal policies. Maintain meticulous records of schedules, updates, and communications for audit and reference purposes.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate scheduling processes and methodologies to identify opportunities for enhancement, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the following competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within the construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectors. Experience with large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with BIM tools and ERP systems is advantageous.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop strategic solutions to scheduling challenges. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic. Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from field teams to senior management, and present information clearly and persuasively.
• Cultural Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with a deep understanding of local business practices, regulatory frameworks, and cultural nuances in Saudi Arabia.
• Certifications: Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred but not mandatory.
