Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Manager at Parsons, you will be responsible for a wide range of strategic and operational activities designed to enhance our commercial performance. Your core duties will include:

• Contract Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and close-out, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements. You will work closely with legal teams to mitigate risks and resolve disputes effectively.
• Revenue Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue streams, including pricing models, contract terms, and upselling opportunities. You will analyze market trends and competitive positioning to inform commercial decisions.
• Business Development: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and project teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Your role will involve preparing compelling proposals, conducting market research, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to drive growth.
• Financial Acumen: Monitor project financials, including cost control, cash flow management, and profitability analysis. You will work with finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with corporate financial objectives.Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary commercial liaison between Parsons and clients, subcontractors, and internal departments. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will be essential to securing long-term partnerships and repeat business.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess commercial risks associated with projects, contracts, and market conditions. You will develop mitigation strategies to protect Parsons’ interests and ensure project success.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that align with Parsons’ high standards. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive commercial management experience, preferably within the engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and financial analysis, with a track record of driving revenue growth and profitability.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and clients.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software, such as ERP systems, CRM tools, and contract management platforms, is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CMA, or CIPS are advantageous but not mandatory.
