ICT Instructor – CompTIA A+ Certified

Position Overview

Pennant Education is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ICT Instructor, certified in CompTIA A+, to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. The ICT Instructor will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs that align with industry standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for CompTIA A+ certification and future career opportunities in IT support and administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Delivery: Develop and implement engaging, up-to-date training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, hands-on labs, and assessments, tailored to the CompTIA A+ certification objectives. Ensure the curriculum is aligned with current industry trends and best practices in ICT.
• Instruction and Mentorship: Conduct interactive and practical training sessions, both in-person and online, to facilitate effective learning. Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to students, addressing their questions and challenges to foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
• Certification Preparation: Guide students through the CompTIA A+ certification process, including exam preparation strategies, practice tests, and review sessions. Monitor student progress and performance to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted feedback.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep technical knowledge in hardware, software, networking, security, and troubleshooting. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry advancements to enhance the quality and relevance of the training programs.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments, including quizzes, assignments, and final exams, to evaluate student understanding and competency. Analyze assessment results to refine teaching methods and improve learning outcomes.
• Student Engagement and Support: Foster a positive and motivating learning atmosphere by actively engaging with students, encouraging participation, and addressing their individual learning needs. Maintain open communication with students and stakeholders to ensure a seamless educational experience.
• Administrative Duties: Collaborate with the administrative team to manage enrollment, attendance, and record-keeping. Prepare and submit reports on student performance, training progress, and program effectiveness as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. CompTIA A+ certification is mandatory, with additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Trainer) considered a strong advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role. Prior teaching or training experience in an educational or corporate setting is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networking fundamentals, cybersecurity basics, and troubleshooting methodologies. Familiarity with virtualization, cloud computing, and mobile device management is a plus.
• Instructional Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner. Proven ability to engage diverse learners and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a passion for education. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a valuable asset.
