Key Responsibilities

• Access Control: Monitor and regulate entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
• Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both on foot and via surveillance systems, to identify and deter suspicious activities or potential security breaches.
• Emergency Response: Act promptly and decisively in response to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including fire, medical, or security threats, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report all security-related incidents, including details of observations, actions taken, and any irregularities, in accordance with company protocols.
• Customer and Visitor Management: Provide a professional and courteous presence to visitors, employees, and contractors, ensuring a welcoming yet secure environment.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all company policies, local regulations, and safety standards to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
• Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and communication devices, to ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with management and other departments to identify security risks and implement preventive measures.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or related fields are a plus.
• Proven experience in a security-related role, preferably in an industrial or corporate setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods, as well as respond to emergencies.
• Proficiency in using security systems, including CCTV, access control systems, and two-way radios.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
• Familiarity with local laws and regulations pertaining to security and safety.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in Jeddah and may require working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure round-the-clock security coverage. The Security Guard will be stationed at AL ITTEFAQ STEEL PRODUCTS CO.’s facilities, which include industrial and administrative areas. The role demands a high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism, as the guard will often handle sensitive information and situations.
