Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Consultant (Engineering) to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

The Technical Consultant (Engineering) will be responsible for executing a variety of engineering-related tasks, structured into the following core categories:

• Risk Assessment and Incident Analysis:
  • Evaluate engineering risks at industrial or commercial properties, identifying potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
  • Determine the root cause of failures in machinery, equipment, or structural components.
  • Assess the nature and extent of damage resulting from incidents such as fires, contamination, mechanical breakdowns, or other disruptions.
• Reinstatement and Restoration Solutions:
  • Develop efficient and cost-effective reinstatement strategies, including repair and replacement options, to restore damaged properties to their original operational state.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored recommendations for mitigating future risks.
• Field Inspections and Documentation:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and surveys of risk sites and incident locations, documenting conditions through detailed notes, photographs, and drawings.
  • Examine equipment and buildings to identify defects, damages, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Host and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, including operators, managers, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams, vendors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
• Research and Analysis:
  • Perform in-depth engineering research, analyzing industry standards, codes, and applicable regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Conduct market surveys by engaging with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors to gather specifications, pricing, and availability of replacement parts or upgrades.
  • Assess technical specifications and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance performance and reliability.
• Reporting and Communication:
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports, presentations, spreadsheets, quotes, and proposals to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain meticulous and organized records of all activities, communications, and correspondence related to each project.
• Business Development:
  • Identify and engage with prospective clients through industry events, referrals, and professional networks.
  • Organize and schedule face-to-face meetings with potential clients, presenting company capabilities and solutions.
  • Distribute company literature and follow up with prospects to provide additional information and nurture relationships.
