Senior IT Project Manager - KSA Riyadh (Saudization)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver critical IT projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a strong emphasis on Saudization. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior IT Project Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Project Planning and Execution: Define comprehensive project scopes, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and technical specifications in collaboration with stakeholders. Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery while adhering to budget constraints.
• Stakeholder and Team Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, QA, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless project execution. Facilitate effective communication and alignment to achieve project goals.
• Methodology and Process Adherence: Implement and enforce industry-standard methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, tailoring approaches to project requirements. Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives for Agile teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies. Develop and implement contingency plans to address challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
• Vendor and Third-Party Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and third-party integrations, ensuring contractual obligations are met and project dependencies are managed effectively.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensure rigorous adherence to quality assurance, testing, and change management processes. Validate that all deliverables meet predefined standards and business requirements before deployment.
• Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Programs and Projects Manager on project status, milestones, risks, and escalations. Maintain transparent communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
• Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and process flows. Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to support post-implementation sustainability and team readiness.
• Data Analysis and Business Rules: Conduct detailed data analysis to define business rules and support decision-making processes. Leverage insights to optimize project outcomes and align IT solutions with strategic business objectives.
• Tool Proficiency: Utilize advanced project management and collaboration tools such as ITSM, ITIL, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and ERP systems to streamline project workflows and enhance team productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3–8 years of hands-on experience managing IT projects, with a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
• Certifications: Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or CBAP are preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Technical and Methodological Expertise: Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and infrastructure management. Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches based on project needs.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to influence and drive consensus among cross-functional and distributed teams while maintaining a focus on Saudization initiatives.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated expertise in risk management, issue resolution, and data-driven decision-making. Capable of performing detailed data analysis to inform project strategies and business rule definitions.
• Process Modeling: Familiarity with process modeling tools and techniques to document, analyze, and optimize workflows in alignment with business and IT objectives.
