Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Director, you will be responsible for shaping and scaling the finance function to meet the demands of rapid growth and market expansion. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Finance Operations Leadership: Oversee and enhance the company’s finance operations, encompassing accounting, treasury, financial controls, tax compliance, and governance to ensure robust financial health and regulatory adherence.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement scalable finance processes, systems, and controls that support the company’s growth trajectory, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial modeling, and executive reporting.
• IPO Readiness and Execution: Drive the company’s preparation for an IPO, including establishing institutional-grade financial reporting, internal controls, governance frameworks, audit readiness, and capital markets positioning to position the company for success in the public markets.
• M&A and Corporate Development: Lead the financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate development initiatives, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration to maximize value creation.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors to provide strategic financial guidance, support decision-making, and align financial objectives with business goals. Build and nurture relationships with auditors, investors, investment banks, financial advisors, and regulatory institutions.
• Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Drive finance transformation through the adoption of automation, data analytics, and cutting-edge technology.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• 12–18+ Years of Progressive Finance Experience: A robust background in finance, ideally within technology, SaaS, fintech, software, marketplaces, or other high-growth sectors, with a focus on scaling finance functions in dynamic environments.
• Finance Operations and Controllership Expertise: Hands-on experience in financial operations, controllership, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
• FP&A and Financial Modeling Proficiency: Strong capabilities in financial planning, analysis, and modeling to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
• IPO and M&A Experience: Proven track record in preparing companies for IPOs and leading M&A transactions, including financial due diligence, valuation, and integration.
• Saudi Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Saudi business environment, regulatory frameworks, and commercial dynamics, with a strong network among local stakeholders, investors, and institutions.
• Executive Communication and Leadership: Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to present complex financial information to the Board, investors, and external stakeholders. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential.
• Education and Professional Qualifications: A strong academic background from a leading university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Professional qualifications such as MBA, CFA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
