Key Responsibilities

The Supervisor Housekeeping will play a critical role in delivering an unforgettable guest experience by managing and supervising all housekeeping activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professionalism. Conduct regular training sessions to ensure adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry staff. Ensure efficient scheduling, task delegation, and workflow management to meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct frequent inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to verify compliance with The Ritz-Carlton’s rigorous cleanliness and presentation standards. Address any deviations promptly and implement corrective measures.
• Guest Interaction and Service Excellence: Act as a liaison between guests and the housekeeping team, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism and discretion. Ensure that all guest interactions reflect the brand’s commitment to personalized, anticipatory service.
• Inventory and Supply Management: Monitor and manage housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels and cost-effective utilization. Report any shortages or maintenance issues to the appropriate departments for timely resolution.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety audits to mitigate risks.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments, including front desk, maintenance, and food and beverage, to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive guest experience. Maintain open and effective communication channels with management to report on performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or similar high-end environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. A customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service are essential.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all areas under your supervision.
• Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and guest needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with housekeeping management systems and basic computer skills are advantageous.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional languages, particularly Arabic, are highly desirable.
