الوصف الوظيفي

About Hemab

Hemab is a pioneering biotechnology company dedicated to developing preventative treatments for serious, underserved bleeding disorders. Our therapies are designed to align with the body's natural biology, preventing bleeds before they occur rather than addressing them after onset. As a patient-first organization, we are science-led and currently in the clinical stage, with a robust pipeline that explores diverse scientific approaches to meet varied patient needs. Hemab went public through our 2026 IPO and is rapidly expanding its operations across two key hubs: Cambridge, MA, USA, and Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Role

Rare bleeding disorders, including Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Factor VII deficiency, represent a significant segment of the healthcare landscape across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. As the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for the Middle East, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing Hemab's scientific relationships with clinicians, investigators, and patient communities throughout the region. Your responsibilities will include gathering critical field insights and translating them into actionable input for our development and medical affairs strategies. A key immediate focus will be supporting the SOLARA site activation and investigator engagement in Saudi Arabia, ensuring seamless execution and collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scientific Relationship Building: Develop and maintain trusted, peer-level scientific relationships with hematologists, investigators, and care teams across GCC tertiary referral centers and specialist networks.
  • Trial Support: Lead site activation and investigator engagement efforts for the SOLARA program in Saudi Arabia, working closely with Development and Medical Affairs teams to ensure alignment and success.
  • Field Insights & Strategy: Collect and translate field insights into actionable intelligence for study recruitment, evidence generation, endpoint relevance, and regional medical strategy development.
  • Scientific Exchange: Lead balanced, data-driven scientific discussions about Hemab's pipeline and the rare bleeding disorders we aim to address, ensuring clarity and accuracy for diverse audiences.
  • Site & Investigator Identification: Leverage regional expertise to identify potential study sites and investigators, contributing to feasibility assessments and recruitment planning.
  • Patient & Professional Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with patient organizations and professional societies to deepen Hemab's understanding of patient needs and barriers to care.
  • Data Translation: Simplify and communicate complex scientific and clinical data to various stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and health authorities, ensuring accessibility and relevance.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and refine effective field medical operational frameworks for the GCC region as Hemab's presence continues to grow and evolve.

Your Background & Skills

To thrive in this role, you will bring a wealth of experience as an MSL or in a comparable field medical or scientific liaison position, with a proven ability to engage credibly with specialist clinicians and investigators. Your background should include direct experience working with GCC tertiary referral centers, hematology specialists, or regional health authorities, demonstrating your deep understanding of the regional healthcare landscape. A strong scientific foundation is essential, enabling you to explain complex clinical and mechanistic data with clarity and precision. Experience supporting clinical trials—whether in site engagement, feasibility, recruitment, or investigator relationships—is highly valued. You will also have a track record of gathering meaningful field intelligence and converting it into actionable insights for internal teams. Fluency in both Arabic and English is required, with the ability to conduct scientific discussions proficiently in both languages.

This role is based in either the UAE or Saudi Arabia, with a requirement for extensive travel across GCC markets and internationally as needed. While not mandatory, experience in hematology, rare disease, coagulation, or a closely related therapeutic area is a strong asset. Prior experience in building field medical capabilities within a small or growing biotech, particularly in supporting trial site activation in the Middle East, would be advantageous.

What to Expect

Hemab is a dynamic and rapidly evolving organization, where systems and processes are often developed in response to immediate needs rather than being pre-defined. As the MSL for the Middle East, you will have the opportunity to shape and build many of your own ways of working, contributing to the establishment of Hemab's regional presence. This role spans a broad territory across multiple GCC markets, requiring deliberate effort to bridge time zones, cultures, and operational challenges. Given our growth trajectory, priorities may shift with less notice than in larger, more established organizations. However, this also presents a unique chance to make a significant impact in a mission-driven company that is redefining treatment paradigms for bleeding disorders.
