General Accountant — Full Cycle (Al Ahsa, KSA or Remote from Egypt)

Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced General Accountant—Full Cycle to join our dynamic team in Al Ahsa, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or remotely from Egypt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire accounting cycle, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards, and timely reporting. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of our organization while supporting strategic decision-making through precise financial data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Cycle Accounting: Oversee and execute the complete accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure adherence to tax laws, corporate governance policies, and internal controls. Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and collaborating with auditors to resolve discrepancies.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts. Provide insights to optimize cost efficiency and revenue growth.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank statements, and manage liquidity to support operational needs. Implement strategies to improve working capital and reduce financial risks.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory obligations. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation to ensure compliance and minimize liabilities.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement automation tools, and enhance internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior leadership, to provide financial insights and support informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on full-cycle accounting. Experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or familiarity with GCC accounting standards is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic. Ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ethical Standards: Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Work Arrangement

This position offers flexibility with the option to work on-site in Al Ahsa, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or remotely from Egypt. Candidates must be prepared to align their working hours with the organization’s operational requirements, including potential overlap with KSA business hours.
