Hard Services Engineer - Roads/Infrastructure O&M

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hard Services Engineer – Roads/Infrastructure O&M to join a leading Facilities Management, engineering, and solutions specialist team. This role is pivotal in supporting a prestigious client in Al Ula, where you will oversee the technical management, performance, and lifecycle of critical civil hard service assets, including roads, bridges, and street lighting infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will play a central role in ensuring operational reliability, safety, and compliance with Saudi regulatory frameworks and international standards, all while driving excellence in asset management and maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core functions:

• Technical Oversight and Asset Management: Provide expert technical leadership in the management and maintenance of roads, bridges, and street lighting infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Contractor Performance and Compliance: Oversee contractor activities to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, mitigating risks and ensuring seamless project execution.
• Maintenance Strategy Development: Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous optimization of maintenance strategies, aligning them with Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) objectives and asset management best practices to enhance infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency.
• Regulatory and Standard Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure operations comply with Saudi regulatory frameworks, international standards, and organizational policies, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and sustainability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and external stakeholders, to foster collaboration, resolve technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement in infrastructure management.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor asset performance, contractor efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness, providing regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Facilities Management, or a related field. Alternatively, extensive industry experience with demonstrated capabilities in hard services management will be considered.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, to support data analysis, reporting, and project management.
• Industry Expertise: In-depth understanding of asset management principles, maintenance standards, and compliance frameworks, with a proven track record in managing roads, bridges, and street lighting infrastructure.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in hard services management, facilities management, or asset management, with a focus on roads and infrastructure maintenance.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic and challenging environment.
