Key Responsibilities

As an Engineer within our Design team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of innovative and sustainable drainage and water solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Task Delivery: Taking ownership of assigned tasks within work packages, ensuring high-quality technical outputs and adherence to programme, budget, and risk commitments.
• Technical Expertise: Applying relevant design standards, regulations, and quality processes consistently to meet project requirements.
• Collaboration: Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Knowledge Sharing: Contributing to the technical development of the team by sharing expertise and providing guidance to early-career engineers.
• Problem Solving: Identifying and escalating issues proactively, while proposing effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.

Your Day-to-Day Role

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering assigned tasks with a high degree of technical proficiency. You will manage the delivery of individual tasks while maintaining alignment with programme timelines and budget constraints. Your ability to work autonomously at a task level, while supporting broader package delivery, will be essential. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines to ensure seamless project execution and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with demonstrable technical competence in drainage and water engineering, with experience delivering tasks across one or more sectors. The ideal candidate will:

• Possess strong technical skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
• Have experience applying relevant design standards, regulations, and quality processes consistently.
• Be mindful of programme, budget, and risk considerations, escalating issues as necessary to ensure project success.
• Hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel as required to support project needs.
