We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Credit and Risk Manager to spearhead our credit risk and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and execution of robust risk frameworks, ensuring compliance with SAMA regulations while safeguarding the company’s financial stability and growth. Key Responsibilities
As the Credit and Risk Manager, your strategic leadership will be instrumental in:
- Overseeing Credit Risk and ERM: Lead the company’s credit risk management and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities, ensuring a proactive and data-driven approach to risk mitigation.
- Credit Assessment and Decision-Making: Conduct in-depth reviews of credit applications, financial statements, cash flows, and creditworthiness to provide independent, evidence-based recommendations aligned with approved policies and risk appetite.
- Portfolio Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously track the credit portfolio, including concentrations, exposures, delinquencies, defaults, and emerging risks, to preemptively address potential vulnerabilities.
- Policy and Framework Development: Develop and maintain the Credit Risk Policy, credit assessment methodologies, limits, and procedures, ensuring they evolve in tandem with regulatory requirements and business growth.
- ERM Framework Implementation: Design, implement, and refine the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework to integrate credit, operational, liquidity, market, strategic, technological, cybersecurity, third-party, and reputational risks into a cohesive risk governance model.
- Risk Reporting and Compliance: Maintain the Risk Register and coordinate cross-departmental risk assessments, while preparing comprehensive risk reports and dashboards for Senior Management, the Credit & Risk Committee, the Board, and regulatory authorities.
- Scenario Analysis and Stress Testing: Perform scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate potential impacts on the company and credit portfolio, informing proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Regulatory and Stakeholder Engagement: Support Raqamyah’s compliance with SAMA requirements, including risk-related assessments, inspections, and regulatory observations, while collaborating closely with Compliance, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Cybersecurity teams.
- Risk Culture Advocacy: Foster a strong risk-aware culture across the organization, ensuring all stakeholders understand and uphold risk management best practices.
- Innovation and Adaptability: Assess risks associated with new products, services, processes, and systems before implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and risk tolerance.
This role demands a blend of analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and collaborative leadership to navigate the complexities of fintech risk management while driving Raqamyah’s vision forward.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a significant advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, banking, financing, fintech, or financial services, with a proven track record in credit risk assessment and ERM frameworks.
- Deep expertise in credit risk evaluation, including the ability to analyze financial statements, cash flows, and repayment capacities to inform sound credit decisions.
- Practical knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, methodologies, and industry best practices, with experience in integrating risk management into business strategy.
- A strong understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly those governing financial institutions in Saudi Arabia, including SAMA guidelines.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable risk strategies.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with experience collaborating across departments to align risk management with organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, capable of presenting risk findings to senior management and regulatory bodies in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
