As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will oversee the end-to-end management of our server infrastructure, cloud environments, and virtualized systems. Your strategic vision will drive performance enhancements, security compliance, and disaster recovery strategies, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

In this influential role, your responsibilities will include:

• Comprehensive Infrastructure Management: Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), and virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V. Ensure seamless operation of cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, to support business-critical applications.
• Performance Optimization & Capacity Planning: Continuously monitor system performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions to enhance efficiency. Utilize data-driven insights to forecast resource needs and prevent downtime.
• Security & Compliance Leadership: Develop and enforce robust security policies, including firewall configurations, patch management, and vulnerability assessments. Ensure alignment with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and regional compliance requirements like NCA.
• Disaster Recovery & Data Integrity: Oversee backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity during unforeseen events.
• Automation & Efficiency: Leverage scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate repetitive tasks, reducing operational overhead and improving system reliability.
• Technical Escalation & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert guidance to stakeholders and resolving high-priority incidents with minimal impact.
• Project & Infrastructure Leadership: Lead end-to-end infrastructure projects, from initial design through deployment and post-implementation optimization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Mentorship & Team Development: Guide junior system administrators, conduct code reviews, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes skill growth and innovation.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system diagrams, performance metrics, and incident reports, to ensure transparency and accountability.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in System Administration, with at least 2 years in a managerial or advisory capacity. Proven expertise in leading IT teams and driving strategic infrastructure decisions.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Deep hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Extensive experience managing cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS or Azure, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, routing, and load balancing.
• Proven experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) and disaster recovery methodologies.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, crisis management under pressure, and outstanding verbal/written communication in English. Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect, VCP, or ITIL.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
