As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for leading on-site technical operations, troubleshooting complex electrical systems, and providing expert guidance to clients and junior team members. Your role will span from preventive maintenance and system diagnostics to emergency repairs and commissioning, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance for our clients’ critical infrastructure. Your ability to analyze technical challenges, implement effective solutions, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams will be instrumental in maintaining ABB’s reputation for reliability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Lead on-site technical operations with a focus on electrical systems, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for high-voltage and low-voltage installations, motor control centers, and automation systems.
• Client Collaboration: Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, providing expert insights, training, and support to ensure seamless integration and operation of electrical solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with minimal downtime, leveraging advanced tools, software, and industry best practices to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions.
• Training and Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all field operations adhere to industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, prioritizing risk mitigation and operational safety.
• Project Support: Assist in the commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical systems to guarantee they meet performance specifications and client expectations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate technical records, reports, and documentation for all field activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in field service engineering, preferably in the electrical power or industrial automation sector.
• Proven expertise in electrical systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage installations, motor control, and automation technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of ABB products, systems, and solutions, with a strong understanding of their applications in industrial and commercial environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Certifications in electrical safety, such as OSHA or equivalent, are a significant advantage.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform fieldwork in diverse and sometimes challenging environments.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic is highly preferred.
