In this dynamic and impactful role, you will lead Zid’s accounting operations with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and financial integrity. Reporting directly to the Finance leadership, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Business, and Treasury—to maintain robust financial controls, streamline processes, and deliver actionable financial intelligence. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting audits, tax compliance, and regulatory adherence while fostering a culture of financial accountability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As the Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will span strategic oversight and hands-on execution, ensuring Zid’s financial health is both resilient and forward-thinking:

• Leadership in Accounting Operations: Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow optimization, to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Drive the month-end and year-end closing processes, guaranteeing timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in alignment with international accounting standards and Saudi regulatory requirements, including VAT and ZATCA.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and accounting schedules, translating complex data into clear, strategic insights for leadership and business decision-makers.
• Internal Controls and Risk Mitigation: Implement and monitor robust internal controls across accounting processes to mitigate risks, enhance transparency, and safeguard Zid’s financial assets.
• Audit and Tax Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and maintain full compliance with statutory and tax obligations, including VAT filings and ZATCA regulations.
• Process Optimization and Innovation: Identify opportunities to automate accounting workflows, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance financial controls, leveraging technology and best practices to drive operational excellence.
• Team Development and Mentorship: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement while aligning individual contributions to Zid’s overarching financial goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Business, and Treasury teams to resolve accounting discrepancies, provide guidance on financial transactions, and ensure alignment between accounting practices and business initiatives.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

We are seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager with a proven track record of leadership, analytical rigor, and a passion for driving financial excellence. Your qualifications should include:

• 8+ Years of Progressive Experience: A robust background in accounting management, with a focus on general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close processes, accounts payable, and receivable—demonstrating a clear trajectory of leadership and strategic impact.
• Education and Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, complemented by a professional certification such as SOCPA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA (highly preferred).
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics) and financial reporting tools, along with a deep understanding of Saudi accounting and tax regulations, including VAT and ZATCA compliance.
• Strategic Mindset: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable strategies that support business objectives.
• Communication and Collaboration: Fluent Arabic and exceptional English communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Nice-to-Have Expertise: Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, fintech, or marketplace businesses is a significant advantage, as is familiarity with revenue recognition, multi-entity accounting, or financial dashboards. Experience with ERP implementation, accounting automation, or finance transformation will further enhance your impact.
