As a key member of our Finance team, you will play an instrumental role in maintaining the financial integrity of Holiday Inn Riyadh. Your responsibilities will span across core accounting functions, financial analysis, and compliance, ensuring that all financial activities are conducted with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Record-Keeping and Reporting: Prepare and post journal entries and General Ledger transactions with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with IHG’s standards.
• Reconciliation and Closing Processes: Perform comprehensive reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, and individual accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies. Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements that reflect the true financial position of the hotel.
• Financial Analysis and Planning: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with management to align financial planning with operational goals and market trends.
• Asset Management: Maintain and update fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules, to ensure compliance with accounting policies and tax regulations.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure full compliance with IHG’s financial policies and local statutory requirements. Support both internal and external audit processes by providing clear, well-documented financial information and addressing any queries promptly.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including operations, sales, and human resources, to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment of financial activities with business objectives.
• Internal Controls and Documentation: Implement and maintain robust accounting documentation and internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure transparency in all financial transactions.
• Adaptive Support: Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance & Business Support, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to contributing to the team’s success.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications, such as CPA or ACCA, are a significant advantage.
• Experience: 2–4 years of accounting experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the hospitality industry. Experience in a hotel or leisure setting will be highly beneficial.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, General Ledger accounting, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.
• Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends. Outstanding organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
