As a trusted advisor, you will play a critical role in shaping our safety protocols, ensuring full alignment with local, regional, and global regulations. Your ability to communicate clearly, train leadership, and inspire behavioral change will be essential in embedding Amazon’s safety standards across the organization. By analyzing safety metrics, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions, you will proactively reduce workplace hazards and enhance overall operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Compliance Leadership: Provide strategic oversight to ensure full adherence to Amazon’s Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, regional regulations, and global standards. Conduct thorough audits to identify non-compliance issues and develop actionable plans for remediation.
• Data-Driven Safety Management: Analyze weekly and monthly incident trends to pinpoint high-risk areas and allocate resources effectively. Utilize safety metrics to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Incident Investigation & Corrective Action: Lead thorough investigations into workplace incidents, ensuring timely closure of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Site Safety Audits: Perform regular audits of equipment, processes, and workplace organization to identify hazards. Implement solutions to eliminate exposure risks and enhance safety protocols.
• Training & Mentorship: Train Operations Leaders and Safety Associates on WHS policies, best practices, and compliance requirements. Mentor team members during peak operational periods to reinforce safety culture.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with Safety teams, Associates, and leadership to gather input on safety program improvements. Foster open communication to track progress and resolve suggestions efficiently.
• Record-Keeping & Reporting: Ensure all WHS documentation aligns with global standards and local regulations. Maintain accurate audit records and reporting to support compliance initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Essential Qualifications:
• Fluency in speaking, writing, and reading English to effectively communicate safety protocols and compliance requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• A recognized certification such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate to demonstrate advanced expertise in workplace health and safety.
• Proven experience in environmental, ergonomic, and safety program management within a high-volume operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities to mentor teams, train leaders, and foster a culture of safety accountability.
• Flexibility to work across shifts and adapt to the dynamic demands of a fast-paced delivery station.
