As the Engineering Manager, Technical Support, you will oversee a dynamic team of engineers and designers, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that align with long-term contracts and client-specific requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing facility operations, enhancing project engineering deliverables, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. With a focus on both technical innovation and operational performance, you will play a critical role in setting and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) while mentoring high-potential talent to elevate their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational functions, including:

• Customer-Centric Engineering Leadership: Provide end-to-end technical support to clients, delivering tailored engineering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability in oil & gas environments.
• Project and Team Management: Lead a team of engineers and designers to execute high-impact projects under long-term contracts, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee engineering activities to support facility and service operations, ensuring adherence to performance metrics and industry standards such as API 6A, API 16A, and NACE MR0175. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce operational risks.
• Strategic Planning and KPI Development: Develop, monitor, and refine KPIs and operational plans for the project engineering department, aligning them with organizational goals and client needs.
• Talent Development and Competency Management: Assess team member competencies, design targeted training programs, and foster a culture of professional growth to ensure the team remains at the forefront of technical expertise.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Apply advanced analytical skills to resolve complex technical challenges, leveraging industry best practices and past precedents to drive innovative solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical teams, clients, and stakeholders, effectively communicating technical information and aligning engineering efforts with broader business objectives.
• Budget and Resource Management: Oversee small-team budget allocations, ensuring cost-effective engineering solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must bring a robust blend of technical acumen, leadership experience, and industry-specific knowledge. We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with advanced certifications or specialized training in oil & gas engineering.
• Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with an additional 5 years in Design or Project Engineering Management. Preference will be given to candidates with 5 years of experience in field operations or manufacturing operations within an international surface wellhead company.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as API 6A, API 16A, and NACE MR0175, along with proficiency in engineering software and tools used in oil & gas projects.
• Leadership and Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, with a track record of successful project execution, budget management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex technical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive operational improvements.
• Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including clients, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
• Global Mindset: Experience working in dynamic, cross-cultural, and global environments, with the ability to adapt to diverse operational contexts and drive collaboration across borders.
