• Partnership & Alliance Development: Build and nurture strategic relationships with key clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders to drive collaborative opportunities and long-term business success.
• Commercial Leadership: Lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence in contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization.
• Financial & Strategic Planning: Develop and execute robust financial forecasts, budget allocations, and P&L management frameworks to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
• Contract & Lease Negotiations: Leverage deep expertise in drilling rig contracts, day rates, mobilization agreements, and lease arrangements to secure favorable terms and maximize commercial outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage effectively with clients, investors, partners, and executive leadership to align business objectives with market demands and corporate vision.
• Regional Market Expertise: Provide strategic insights into the Saudi Arabian energy landscape, leveraging regional knowledge to inform decision-making and drive competitive advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must bring:

• Proven Track Record: Extensive experience (10+ years) in business development, commercial leadership, or strategic management within the drilling, oilfield services, or rig contracting industry.
• Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of drilling rig contracts, commercial structures, day rates, and lease agreements, with a proven ability to negotiate and execute high-value deals.
• Leadership & Team Development: Experience leading cross-functional teams, mentoring high-performing commercial professionals, and driving organizational growth.
• Financial Expertise: Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and investment evaluation to ensure data-driven decision-making.
• Regional Insight: Preferred experience within the Saudi Arabian energy sector, with a nuanced understanding of local market dynamics, regulatory environments, and industry trends.
