Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the following critical responsibilities:

• Technical Client Leadership: Serve as the primary technical advisor for high-value Middle East accounts, acting as the single point of contact for all compression-related matters. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, ensuring their operational goals align with Siemens Energy’s cutting-edge solutions.
• Advanced Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Lead intricate investigations into compressor and ancillary system failures using structured methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis, Kepner-Tregoe, and the 5 Whys framework. Deliver data-driven solutions that minimize downtime and enhance long-term asset performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless coordination between internal teams—including Product Integrity, Core Technology, and regional service groups—and external partners to ensure rapid, effective resolution of technical challenges. Bridge gaps between client sites and Siemens Energy’s global expertise to deliver cohesive, high-impact solutions.
• Strategic Technical Input: Partner with Sales, Bid Management, and Service teams to provide subject-matter expertise that shapes proposals, service strategies, and client-facing decisions. Your insights will be instrumental in securing and retaining high-value contracts while positioning Siemens Energy as a leader in industrial decarbonization.
• Knowledge Management & Documentation: Maintain rigorous technical documentation, including service reports, maintenance logs, method statements, and equipment records. Ensure transparency, traceability, and continuity across all engagements to support future decision-making and training initiatives.
• Mentorship & Talent Development: Invest in the growth of junior engineers and client personnel by delivering comprehensive training on routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous learning to elevate the technical capabilities of the entire team.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

To excel in this role, you will bring a robust blend of technical acumen, leadership, and client-centric mindset:

• Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or an equivalent technical discipline) paired with 15+ years of hands-on experience across rotating equipment design, factory acceptance testing, controls design, package design, site commissioning, maintenance, and field troubleshooting. Proven success in leading complex technical projects with measurable impact.
• Root Cause Analysis Expertise: Deep experience applying FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Kepner-Tregoe, and the 5 Whys to diagnose and resolve high-stakes equipment failures. A track record of delivering sustainable solutions that prevent recurring issues.
• Technical Mastery: Extensive knowledge of rotating equipment components, including dry gas seals, compressors, couplings, and bearings, alongside practical experience in vibration monitoring, site performance testing, and instrumentation validation. Hands-on involvement in startups, overhauls, and precision measurement techniques.
• Client-Facing Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences—from seasoned engineers to non-technical stakeholders. Fluent English communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and relationship-building.
• Field Resilience & Adaptability: A willingness to thrive in dynamic field environments, with flexibility to travel regionally (~30%) and accommodate flexible hours to address urgent client needs. Demonstrated resilience in high-pressure scenarios.
