We are currently seeking a dedicated IS&T Support Specialist to join our team on the Ar Rjum Project, a groundbreaking greenfield gold mining operation located in the Central Arabian Gold Region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time, camp-based role offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge infrastructure development while supporting a dynamic, international project team in a dynamic environment.

Your Role: Bridging Technology and Project Success

As an IS&T Support Specialist, you will serve as the frontline technical resource for the Ar Rjum Project, ensuring seamless IT infrastructure, hardware, and software operations to support project efficiency and productivity. Reporting to the Project IS&T Lead, you will collaborate with global IS&T teams to deliver exceptional service, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement in both technical and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer-Centric Support: Address project team inquiries with precision, urgency, and professionalism, resolving IT-related challenges across hardware, software, networking, and peripheral systems, including laptops, mobile devices, videoconferencing tools, and office printing equipment.
• Technical Excellence: Diagnose, maintain, and resolve local IT infrastructure issues while adhering to global Bechtel standards. Support the project’s automation strategy by deploying and maintaining approved software solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborative Innovation: Partner with construction automation teams to integrate project systems, improve data workflows, and optimize work processes. Assist in the implementation of new technologies, security protocols, and IT services to align with evolving project needs.
• End-User Advocacy: Deploy and manage IT hardware and services for project personnel, ensuring seamless access to critical tools and resources. Follow standardized operating procedures for IT requests, asset management, incident resolution, and end-user support.
• Procurement and Compliance: Assist in the procurement of IS&T equipment and ensure alignment with project and company standards. Contribute to the selection and deployment of technologies that enhance project performance and security.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a blend of technical acumen and customer service excellence. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Education and Experience: A recognized degree in a STEM-related field (e.g., Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science) with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or 5-6 years of industry experience in IT support, infrastructure management, or related fields. Specialized certifications or training in Information Systems, Construction Technology, or Automation are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, hardware troubleshooting, software deployment, networking equipment, and end-user support tools. Familiarity with construction-specific automation and reporting systems is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and project requirements.
