Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire AR lifecycle, from invoicing and credit management to dispute resolution and cash application. Your duties will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance cash flow, minimize bad debt, and align with Maersk’s financial goals.
• Process Optimization: Streamline AR workflows, leverage technology, and automate manual processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with international financial standards.
• Vendor & Customer Relations: Act as a key liaison between Maersk, vendors, and customers, resolving disputes, negotiating payment terms, and ensuring timely settlements to maintain strong business relationships.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Monitor AR performance metrics, generate insightful reports, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate credit risks, enforce credit limits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to safeguard Maersk’s financial integrity.
• Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing AR team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Deep knowledge of AR processes, credit management, and financial reporting standards, including IFRS or local regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial software to manage receivables, generate reports, and analyze financial data.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Legal.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and propose actionable solutions.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is essential for effective communication in a multicultural workplace.
