Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of financial leadership, including:

• Strategic Financial Oversight: Lead the day-to-day execution of general ledger processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with organizational goals. Oversee account balancing, ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting to provide stakeholders with reliable, data-driven insights.
• Process Excellence and Compliance: Implement and audit accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments, ensuring adherence to international financial standards and local regulations. Maintain strict compliance with fraud prevention policies and tax obligations, safeguarding the organization’s financial integrity.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Generate and present comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and analyses to support leadership in making informed, strategic decisions. Identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and propose solutions to enhance financial performance.
• Operational Accountability: Monitor and manage all tax obligations, ensuring timely collection and accrual. Oversee period-end closings and maintain rigorous internal controls to protect assets and minimize risks.
• Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on accounting policies, budgeting, and financial resource management to other organizational units.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Ensure transparency and effective communication in all financial interactions.
• Human Resources Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop accounting talent, conducting performance appraisals and implementing progressive discipline procedures as needed. Promote a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment aligned with organizational values.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A four-year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. While prior work experience is not mandatory, a proven track record of financial leadership and expertise is highly valued.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting principles, ledger management, and financial reporting, including experience with credit card ledgers, contract verification, and revenue reconciliation.
• Technical acumen with accounting software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
