Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

• Technical Leadership: Lead cross-functional engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance solutions that align with Marriott’s strategic goals. Oversee software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• System Architecture and Optimization: Architect robust, secure, and efficient systems that support Marriott’s global operations. Continuously evaluate and enhance existing infrastructure to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Mentorship and Talent Development: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Provide technical expertise and career development opportunities to elevate team capabilities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, product managers, and external vendors to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Act as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Innovation and Problem-Solving: Identify emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation within Marriott’s digital ecosystem. Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges with creative and data-driven solutions.
• Process Improvement: Champion process optimization initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance overall operational agility. Implement agile methodologies and best practices to accelerate project timelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as an Engineer-Lead or in a similar senior technical role, with a track record of leading high-impact projects.
• Deep expertise in software development, system architecture, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript, and familiarity with frameworks like Spring, React, or Node.js.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, global team environment.
• Familiarity with hospitality industry technologies and systems is highly advantageous.
