Storekeeper – Ensure Operational Excellence in Inventory Management

Join Marriott International as a **Storekeeper** and play a pivotal role in maintaining seamless operations within our facility in Central Area District, North of Al Masjid Al Nabawi, Madinah, Saudi Arabia. In this dynamic position, you will oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This full-time role is the backbone of our supply chain, ensuring that inventory is organized, accessible, and ready for use—supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

As a **Storekeeper**, your responsibilities will span critical aspects of inventory and facility management, including:

• Receiving and Staging Merchandise: Efficiently receive, inspect, and stage incoming shipments by department, ensuring proper labeling and placement within the facility. Utilize pallets, carts, and other tools to organize inventory while maintaining neat, orderly storage areas.
• Inventory and Requisition Management: Accurately complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, monitoring stock levels to proactively notify management of low inventory or supply shortages. Implement a robust stock rotation system, particularly for perishable goods, to ensure freshness and quality.
• Quality and Safety Compliance: Conduct thorough inspections of deliveries to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality across case lots. Refuse acceptance of damaged, non-conforming, or incorrect items, adhering strictly to food safety and handling protocols. Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, food equipment, and storage areas to meet hygiene standards.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace by removing empty pallets, cardboard, and waste, ensuring proper disposal and storage. Collaborate with maintenance teams to uphold facility standards and address any operational inefficiencies.
• Safety and Compliance: Act as a safety advocate by promptly reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Complete mandatory safety training and certifications to ensure a secure working environment for all associates. Uphold Marriott’s policies on confidentiality, asset protection, and professional conduct.
• Team Collaboration and Communication: Foster a positive and professional work environment by engaging with colleagues and guests with clarity and respect. Contribute to team goals by maintaining open communication, supporting colleagues, and promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance: Align with Marriott’s quality assurance standards by verifying information across various formats, including small print, and ensuring accuracy in inventory tracking and documentation.

This role demands a high level of physical activity, including prolonged standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and maneuvering through confined or elevated spaces. You will navigate uneven or slippery surfaces, stairs, and service ramps while demonstrating precision in handling objects of varying sizes. Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to excellence are essential traits for success in this position.
