Clerk - Accounts Payable

Join our dynamic finance team at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, a distinguished member of the Marriott International family, and contribute to the seamless financial operations of our esteemed hospitality brand. As a Clerk in Accounts Payable, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of our financial processes, supporting the global mission of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

In this full-time position based in the Central Area District North of Al Masjid Al Nabawi, Madinah, Saudi Arabia, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. This role is integral to our commitment to operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accuracy and Compliance: Verify and validate figures, postings, and documents for mathematical precision, correct coding, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with internal and external regulations.
  • Record Management and Security: Organize, secure, and maintain all financial files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with company protocols. Utilize computerized financial systems to record, store, access, and analyze data while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Period-End Processes: Execute period-end closing procedures and generate required financial reports as specified. Conduct periodic audits of cashier banks and petty cash funds to ensure alignment with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Cash Variance Management: Document, maintain, and communicate all cash variances in accordance with SOPs. Act promptly on discrepancies to mitigate risks and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the property, armored car services, and primary banking institutions to facilitate smooth financial transactions and reconciliations.
  • Audit Support: Participate actively in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes, ensuring full compliance with SOPs and company policies.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships with colleagues across departments. Support team goals by communicating clearly, listening actively, and ensuring all tasks are understood and executed effectively.
  • Professional Conduct: Adhere to all company policies, maintain a clean and professional appearance, and protect proprietary information and company assets. Demonstrate professionalism in all communications, both verbal and written.
  • Physical Requirements: Perform tasks that may involve moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Adaptability: Remain open to additional responsibilities as requested by supervisors to support the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

While we value a diverse range of experiences, the following qualifications will help you excel in this role:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
  • Experience: At least one year of related work experience in accounts payable, finance, or a similar field.
  • Certifications/Licenses: None required, though relevant certifications in accounting or finance are a plus.
  • Supervisory Experience: Not required; this is a non-management position.
