Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve a diverse array of critical tasks, including but not limited to:

• Chairside Assistance: Provide comprehensive support to General and Specialist Dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including diagnostics, orthodontics, endodontics, pedodontics, and prosthodontics. Ensure a sterile, efficient, and patient-friendly environment throughout treatments.
• Patient Care and Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including thorough medical history reviews and identifying any significant health concerns. Assist in updating patient records and flagging critical medical information for the dentist’s attention.
• Clinical Support: Perform point-of-use cleaning and disinfection of dental instruments, maintain a well-stocked supply of materials, and ensure all equipment adheres to strict hygiene protocols. Retract tissues and irrigate oral cavities as needed, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Four-Handed Dentistry: Anticipate the dentist’s needs and execute precise, efficient procedures in alignment with the principles of four-handed dentistry. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental surgical team to optimize workflow and patient outcomes.
• Expanded Duty Procedures: Execute expanded duty tasks under the direct supervision of the dentist, contributing to a broader range of clinical interventions.
• Emergency Preparedness: Maintain proficiency in First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Handle medical emergencies with composure, providing immediate assistance until the dentist arrives or additional medical support is available.
• Patient Education: Deliver clear, concise post-operative instructions to patients, ensuring they understand home care protocols as directed by the dentist.
• Administrative and Record-Keeping: Accurately chart patient findings and treatments in permanent records, maintaining meticulous documentation of oral conditions and procedures rendered.
• Flexible Support: Perform additional duties as assigned by management to meet the evolving needs of the practice.

Work Environment and Schedule

You will enjoy one day off per week, ensuring a balanced work-life equilibrium.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: A recognized diploma in Dental Assisting or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on clinical experience in a dental setting, demonstrating proficiency in chairside assistance and patient care.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong competency in office and health information systems, ensuring seamless integration with our clinical and administrative workflows.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic, with excellent speaking and writing abilities to effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and staff.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in First Aid and CPR, with ongoing commitment to maintaining and updating these skills.
