We are currently seeking a Principal Accountant Lead to join our Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) accounting and finance team. This pivotal role will position you as a strategic financial leader within our Saudi Arabia Regional Headquarters (RHQ), driving financial excellence, compliance, and growth while aligning with our global business objectives. Your Impact

As the Principal Accountant Lead for Saudi Arabia, you will serve as a trusted financial advisor to the RHQ leadership team, playing a critical role in shaping the financial health and strategic direction of the organization. Reporting directly to the EMEA Regional Financial Controller, you will oversee a range of critical financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with both local regulations and global standards. Your responsibilities will span accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational oversight, making you a cornerstone of our financial governance and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of financial leadership and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Lead the monthly and quarterly U.S. GAAP close process, ensuring meticulous accuracy, adherence to corporate deadlines, and compliance with internal control requirements. Oversee the annual statutory accounts filing process, coordinating with audit firms, legal, tax advisors, and company directors to ensure seamless and compliant submissions.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with the Corporate Finance team to develop accurate financial projections and optimize cost management. Provide actionable insights to support long-term financial strategy and business growth.
• Operational Oversight: Manage operational and financial reporting for the Saudi Arabia RHQ and assigned MENA entities, delivering clear, insightful, and data-driven reports that inform key business decisions. Ensure robust financial controls and quality assurance processes are in place.
• Corporate Governance and Compliance: Work closely with the Helix EMEA Legal team to ensure full compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements across assigned legal entities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in quarterly management meetings with RHQ leadership, including the General Manager, to present financial performance, address challenges, and propose strategic initiatives. Engage with third-party service providers, including accounting, advisory, audit, and tax firms, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Saudi Arabia RHQ Finance Leadership: Lead all aspects of the finance function for the Saudi Arabia RHQ, fostering a culture of financial discipline, transparency, and accountability. Align financial strategies with the company’s broader business objectives to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.
