We are excited to invite motivated and service-oriented individuals to play a pivotal role in our newly established NHS Borders Primary & Community Services (P&CS) Admin Hub. As a CTAC Admin Assistant, you will be at the heart of our Community Treatment and Care service, ensuring seamless support for patients, colleagues, and operational workflows.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking healthcare environment where your dedication directly enhances the experience of those we serve. Reporting to the P&CS Admin Hub team, your responsibilities will include:
- Telephone and Appointment Coordination: Managing inbound calls with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency to ensure patients receive timely and accurate information.
- Patient Engagement: Welcoming patients with warmth and clarity, assisting with appointment bookings, and addressing inquiries with precision.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Supporting colleagues across the Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) service to maintain smooth administrative processes and operational continuity.
- Flexible and Adaptable Support: Thriving in a dynamic environment where your ability to multitask and prioritise will be instrumental in delivering outstanding service.
The P&CS Admin Hub operates from Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with flexible working arrangements available to accommodate a range of commitments. Roles are offered on a part-time basis, up to a maximum of 30 hours per week, ensuring a sustainable and fulfilling work-life balance. While the primary base is at the NHS Borders Admin Hub in Newstead, occasional travel to other administrative locations across the Borders may be required to support broader service delivery.
As a valued member of our team, you will benefit from comprehensive on-the-job training, ensuring you are equipped with the skills and confidence to excel in your role. Our commitment to your professional growth extends beyond the workplace, offering a supportive and inclusive environment where you can develop new competencies, contribute meaningfully to change, and make a tangible difference in the lives of patients and communities.
At NHS Borders, we celebrate diversity and are dedicated to fostering an equitable workplace where every individual feels valued and empowered. We actively encourage applications from all backgrounds, ensuring our workforce reflects the rich tapestry of society we serve.
