Director Project Control – Strategic Leadership for Large-Scale Construction & Giga-Projects

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Project Control to spearhead our Project Controls function within a high-impact, multi-billion-dollar construction, EPC, and giga-project environment in Riyadh, KSA. In this pivotal role, you will drive excellence in planning, cost management, risk mitigation, and performance analytics to ensure seamless project execution, safeguard commercial objectives, and deliver predictable outcomes for our clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team to establish and enforce robust Project Controls strategies, governance frameworks, and best practices across complex, large-scale initiatives. With a focus on data-driven decision-making, you will integrate advanced forecasting, risk assessment, and change management to proactively address deviations, optimize resource allocation, and enhance project resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee the Project Controls strategy, governance, and team structure to align with organizational and client objectives, ensuring consistency and scalability across multi-billion-dollar projects and programs.
• Performance & Forecasting: Own the development and maintenance of baselines, critical path schedules, cost plans, and performance metrics, including Earned Value Analysis (EAC/ETC), cash flow projections, productivity analytics, and schedule forecasts.
• Integrated Controls: Drive a cohesive approach to planning, cost control, progress measurement, risk management, and change management, ensuring seamless collaboration across subcontractors, procurement, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Risk & Recovery: Identify emerging deviations early and lead recovery strategies to mitigate delays, disruptions, and cost overruns, while providing actionable insights for commercial assessments.
• Stakeholder & Executive Communication: Deliver concise, forward-looking executive reports and performance intelligence to senior leadership, clients, and Program Management Consultants (PMCs), fostering transparency and informed decision-making.
• Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary Project Controls organization, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with:

• 18+ years of experience in Project Controls within a Tier-1 contractor, EPC, or major program environment, with a proven track record in large-scale GCC or Saudi construction, infrastructure, or giga-projects.
• Expertise in: Primavera P6, cost management, forecasting, risk analysis, change control, and performance analytics, with a deep understanding of their application in high-stakes project environments.
• Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management. Certifications such as PMP, AACE, or PMI-SP are highly advantageous.
• Leadership & Commercial Acumen: Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and commercial negotiation skills to navigate complex project dynamics and drive alignment with business objectives.
