Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer (1R) at Applus+, your responsibilities will include:

• Project Oversight and Coordination: Supervise the execution of water and wastewater works, ensuring that all phases of construction align with project specifications and timelines. Act as a technical authority to guide inspectors, contractors, and project teams toward seamless project delivery.
• Technical Review and Compliance: Thoroughly review technical submissions, drawings, and documentation to ensure adherence to project requirements, industry best practices, and regulatory standards, particularly those set by the National Water Company (NWC).
• Quality Assurance and NWC Compliance: Monitor site execution to guarantee compliance with NWC standards and specifications. Identify potential risks and implement corrective measures to maintain project integrity and safety.
• Technical Issue Resolution: Collaborate closely with inspectors, contractors, and stakeholders to diagnose and resolve technical challenges. Leverage your expertise to provide innovative solutions that enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between technical teams, management, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

Key Competencies and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Advanced Technical Expertise: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, complemented by 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure development, with a strong focus on water and wastewater systems. Proven experience in NWC projects is essential.
• Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of wet utilities, pipeline construction techniques, and NWC standards. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry-specific guidelines is a must.
• Leadership and Coordination: Exceptional ability to supervise technical teams, coordinate inspections, and resolve complex issues with precision and efficiency. Strong attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the project meets the highest standards.
• Communication and Collaboration: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including contractors, inspectors, and senior management. Your ability to convey technical information clearly and persuasively will be critical to project success.
