We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead and deliver high-impact civil engineering projects across Saudi Arabia. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in civil and structural engineering to support the planning, execution, and oversight of critical infrastructure, building upgrades, and sustainability initiatives. As a key member of our multidisciplinary teams, you will collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless delivery of projects that align with the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

In this strategic position, your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Leadership: Provide expert civil and structural engineering guidance across a diverse range of projects, including building construction, infrastructure development, retrofit activities, and facility upgrades.
• Design and Compliance Review: Evaluate and review civil and structural designs, technical drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure adherence to project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Site Assessments and Inspections: Conduct thorough on-site evaluations to assess existing conditions, identify project needs, and recommend actionable engineering solutions.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate collaboration with architects, electrical and mechanical engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to align technical objectives with project timelines and deliverables.
• Quality and Safety Oversight: Monitor construction activities to uphold quality standards, ensure safety protocols are followed, and verify compliance with approved designs, schedules, and applicable regulations.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation: Identify technical challenges and propose practical, innovative solutions to optimize project performance and outcomes.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review comprehensive technical reports, quantity surveys, cost estimates, material take-offs, and project documentation to support decision-making and project transparency.
• Project Planning and Execution: Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring that civil engineering scope is integrated seamlessly into broader project strategies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all civil and structural works align with Saudi Building Code (SBC), ACI, ASCE standards, and other relevant regulations to mitigate risks and ensure project viability.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution, with a strong academic foundation in structural analysis, construction methods, and project management.
• Professional Experience: 3+ years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, with a preference for candidates boasting 10+ years of expertise. Prior experience in the Saudi Arabia or GCC region is highly advantageous.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in project coordination, execution, and management, with a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams toward successful project delivery.
• Certifications: Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration and membership, with the engineering profession reflected on your Iqama where applicable. Additional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a significant asset.
• Language Skills: Fluent command of English, both written and spoken, to facilitate effective communication with international clients and stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical, technical judgment, communication, and coordination skills to navigate complex engineering challenges with precision and clarity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with industry-leading software such as AutoCAD, Revit Structure, or Civil 3D for design and modeling.
• Familiarity with structural analysis tools like ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro to enhance design accuracy and performance.
• Knowledge of quantity surveying, cost estimation, and material take-offs to optimize project budgets and resource allocation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project, to streamline documentation and reporting processes.
• In-depth understanding of Saudi Building Code (SBC), ACI, and ASCE standards to ensure compliance and best practice adherence.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows to enhance project efficiency and collaboration.
• Exposure to green building practices or LEED-certified projects, aligning with Astek’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
• Experience in energy services, facility management, building renovation, retrofit, or infrastructure projects to broaden your impact across diverse sectors.
