Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Systems Specialist to play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouse operations through the strategic implementation and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). This position serves as the critical bridge between our Warehouse Operations and IT departments, ensuring seamless system functionality, robust user adoption, data integrity, and ongoing process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and operational insight to drive measurable enhancements in our supply chain infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• System Optimization and Support: Provide expert-level support for our Warehouse Management Systems, identifying opportunities for performance enhancements, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring uninterrupted system operations. Act as the primary point of contact for all WMS-related inquiries and escalations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between warehouse teams and IT, translating operational needs into technical solutions and ensuring alignment between system capabilities and business objectives. Facilitate clear communication to foster collaboration and resolve discrepancies.
• Data Management and Reporting: Leverage advanced analytical tools such as Power BI and SQL to generate insightful reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
• User Training and Adoption: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to ensure end users are proficient in utilizing WMS functionalities. Promote best practices in system usage and drive user adoption to maximize the return on investment in our technology infrastructure.
• Process Improvement and Innovation: Utilize process mapping, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions. Lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall productivity.
• System Enhancements and Integrations: Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and integration of new WMS modules, upgrades, or third-party solutions. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and minimal disruption to daily operations.
• Performance Monitoring and Analytics: Monitor system performance metrics, analyze trends, and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations. Provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates with an IT background will be given preference.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in warehouse or Distribution Center (DC) operations, with a proven track record in system-driven environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related modules. Strong command of Power BI and SQL for data analysis, reporting, and operational tracking.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Communication and Training: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience in delivering training sessions and supporting end users is highly desirable.
• Process Optimization: Solid understanding of process mapping, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Ability to drive meaningful change in operational processes.
• Advantageous Experience: Prior involvement in WMS implementations, enhancements, or integrations will be considered a significant asset.
