Floor Manager — Fabrication & Automation Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floor Manager — Fabrication & Automation Operations to oversee and optimize our fabrication and automation processes in Jeddah. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless production operations, maintaining high safety standards, and driving efficiency across the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication, automation technologies, and team leadership to support our commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Supervise daily fabrication and automation operations to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Monitor workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-functional team of technicians, operators, and support staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the production environment.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety protocols and ensure full compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to minimize risks and maintain a secure workplace.
• Process Optimization: Analyze production data, workflows, and automation systems to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement process improvements.
• Equipment & Maintenance Management: Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and operation of fabrication and automation equipment. Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of machinery.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to guarantee that all fabricated products and automated processes meet or exceed industry specifications. Address non-conformities promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Inventory & Resource Management: Manage raw material inventory, tooling, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted production. Work closely with procurement teams to align supply with demand and reduce waste.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between production teams, senior management, and external partners. Provide regular updates on operational performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) are advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fabrication, automation, or manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a high-volume production environment is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of fabrication techniques, automation systems (e.g., CNC, robotics, PLCs), and production software (e.g., ERP, MES). Familiarity with CAD/CAM and industrial safety standards is essential.
• Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, resolve conflicts, and drive performance. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset are critical.
• Language & Communication: Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) and proficiency in automation-related tools (e.g., SCADA, HMI) are highly desirable.
