Key Responsibilities

As a Loss Prevention Supervisor, your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties designed to protect the organization from internal and external threats. Your primary focus will be on:

• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough evaluations of potential security risks, including theft, fraud, and operational vulnerabilities. Develop and implement strategic loss prevention measures to address identified gaps and enhance overall security posture.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of loss prevention associates, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Provide ongoing training to ensure team members are equipped with the latest security techniques and compliance requirements.
• Incident Investigation and Resolution: Oversee the investigation of security incidents, including theft, fraud, or policy violations. Collaborate with legal and human resources departments to ensure thorough documentation and appropriate disciplinary actions are taken when necessary.
• Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, local regulations, and industry standards related to loss prevention. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with property management, security teams, and other departments to align loss prevention strategies with broader business objectives. Serve as a liaison between the loss prevention team and senior leadership to report on security trends and recommend proactive solutions.
• Technology and Innovation: Leverage advanced security technologies, such as surveillance systems, access control, and data analytics, to enhance monitoring capabilities and reduce losses. Stay abreast of emerging trends in loss prevention and recommend innovative tools to strengthen security measures.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a combination of education, experience, and personal attributes that align with Marriott International’s high standards. The ideal candidate will have:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively, a combination of relevant work experience and certifications may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in loss prevention, security management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience within the hospitality or retail industry is highly desirable.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or equivalent are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security management software, surveillance systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with data analysis tools and incident reporting platforms is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and make critical decisions under pressure. Fluency in Arabic and English is required; additional languages are a valuable asset.
• Personal Attributes: High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and implement effective solutions.
