About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities for large-scale, high-impact construction projects in Qatar. Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead engineering activities for major capital projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, regulatory compliance, and client specifications.
• Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Oversee the integration of civil, structural, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to maintain cohesive project execution.
• Design and Execution Oversight: Manage project planning, design reviews, and engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to approved schedules and budgets.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and resolve technical challenges.
• Coastal Construction Expertise: Provide specialized oversight for projects located in coastal areas, addressing unique environmental and structural considerations.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor engineering progress, implement corrective actions, and ensure all deliverables meet industry best practices and Qatar Energy standards.
• Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor engineering teams to foster professional growth, collaboration, and high-performance standards.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous enhancement of engineering processes to optimize project delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or a related field) from a recognized institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience in engineering and project execution, with at least 8 years dedicated to major capital projects valued at QR 100 Million or more.
• Regional Expertise: A minimum of 10 years of experience working in the Arabian Gulf region, with a strong understanding of local regulations and industry practices.
• Specialized Knowledge: Proven track record in the design and construction of buildings in coastal environments, addressing challenges such as corrosion, foundation stability, and environmental impact.
• Leadership and Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines, deliver projects in line with Qatar Energy standards, and lead teams to achieve project goals.
• Certifications: Qatar UPDA Grade A certification is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities to navigate complex project dynamics and foster collaborative relationships.
