الوصف الوظيفي

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This permanent role is ideal for a technical professional with a strong background in telecommunications, network monitoring, and incident resolution. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our network infrastructure by proactively monitoring, analyzing, and resolving operational issues. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess expertise in network operations, signaling protocols, and multi-vendor environments, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Monitoring and Incident Management: Monitor network performance, alarms, and KPIs using advanced OSS/NMS tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog. Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with internal teams and partner NOCs to restore services promptly.
  • Technical Troubleshooting and Analysis: Analyze signaling flows (Diameter, SIP, NAS), routing tables, authentication paths, and mobile-core elements to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Utilize logging tools like Elastic, Splunk, or Kibana, and packet analysis tools such as Wireshark to identify anomalies and trends.
  • Telecom Operations and Connectivity Flows: Ensure seamless telecom connectivity by understanding and monitoring SIM activation, attach procedures, mobility, and authentication processes. Maintain familiarity with satellite network components, gateways, and hybrid RAN-core flows to support end-to-end service delivery.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and network changes. Generate reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support operational decision-making and service improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Escalation Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, support, and vendor partners, to resolve escalated issues. Participate in incident bridges, post-mortem analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network reliability.
  • Automation and Scripting Support: Leverage basic scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks, improve monitoring efficiency, and reduce incident resolution times. Familiarity with ticketing/ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira is essential for tracking and managing workflows.
  • Shift-Based Operations: Demonstrate adaptability to shift-based schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a rotating NOC team. Maintain high levels of alertness and focus during extended monitoring sessions to ensure timely incident detection and response.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIS are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of hands-on experience in NOC operations, telecom monitoring, satellite operations, or core-network support.
  • Proven expertise in analyzing signaling flows, routing tables, authentication paths, and mobile-core elements.
  • Experience working in multi-vendor NOC environments, managing incident workflows, and coordinating with partner escalations.

Technical Proficiency

  • Strong understanding of signaling protocols (Diameter, SIP, NAS) and routing fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with OSS/NMS tools, alarms, KPIs, and monitoring platforms.
  • Proficiency in logging tools (Elastic, Splunk, Kibana) and packet analysis tools (Wireshark).
  • Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash) and troubleshooting tools.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, dashboards, and documentation tools to support operational reporting.

Professional Competencies

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex network issues under pressure and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to disciplined documentation, tracking, and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Adaptability and Ownership: Willingness to work in a dynamic, shift-based environment with a strong sense of accountability for incident resolution and service quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a shift-based NOC environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the rotation schedule.
  • Capacity to remain attentive and focused during extended monitoring sessions and incident resolution activities.
  • Occasional travel for training, partner coordination, or operational readiness initiatives.
