System Engineer (RAPIDRanger)

Expert RapidRanger System Engineer

The Expert RapidRanger System Engineer will support the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Department) and clients during the maintenance contract, ensuring optimal performance and operational readiness of the RAPIDRanger system.

Responsibilities:

• Actively advise and assist in all aspects of specialty.
• Monitor and analyze operational availability, system performance, and support chain performance, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Evaluate performance of RAPIDRanger systems and data handling/communication equipment.
• Monitor and analyze Built-In Test equipment/software, and recommend improvements.
• Perform intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance FM) and diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Diagnose and isolate complex electronic problems using various repair and fault isolation procedures.
• Support Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites for software maintenance, troubleshooting, and On the Job Training (OJT).
• Collaborate with European experts to resolve malfunctions and ensure system readiness.
• Transfer expertise and knowledge to Saudi technicians, providing advice and assistance.

Key Competencies, Skills & Knowledge Areas:

• Proven experience with weapon systems and associated equipment, including Safety Management Unit, Power Distribution Modules, Ethernet switch, Control Electronics Unit, Power Conditioning Unit, System Command and Control Unit, LMM missiles in Field Handling Containers (FHCs), and interface equipment.
• Technical expertise in weapon system LRUs, including Stabilized Sight Head, Turret, Panniers, Automatic Missile Interface Unit, and power systems.
• Experience in complex environments, with strong communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Weapon Technology.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operational and maintenance of weapon systems and associated equipment, including installation, testing, integration, upgrades, and modifications.
• Strong scripting and technical skills.
• Fluent in English (French is an advantage).
