Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the business by ensuring accurate recording of transactions, managing general ledgers, and preparing comprehensive financial statements. This position is critical to supporting informed decision-making and maintaining efficient operational workflows across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be entrusted with a diverse range of financial duties, including but not limited to:

• Financial Operations Management: Recording and processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate general ledgers, and ensuring compliance with established accounting principles and standards.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Managing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable to optimize cash flow, reduce discrepancies, and maintain strong vendor and client relationships.
• Bank Reconciliation: Conducting regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records and identify any irregularities or discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to support strategic decision-making.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets, as well as providing financial insights to support forecasting activities and long-term financial planning.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements, international accounting standards (such as IFRS or GAAP), and internal policies. Preparing documentation and supporting materials for internal and external audits.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with clinic and administrative teams to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and provide actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
• Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement best practices, and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or a regional equivalent are highly advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills are essential. Ability to quickly adapt to new financial tools and technologies is a must.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to identify and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in a similar accounting role is preferred. Familiarity with healthcare or clinic operations is a valuable asset, though not mandatory.
• Operational Agility: The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Commitment to working on-site in Jeddah and adhering to the organization’s operational policies.
