Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time, on-site position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations by ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions and strict adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of financial duties, including but not limited to recording journal entries, preparing bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, reviewing invoices, and assisting with monthly closing activities. Additionally, the role involves supporting financial reporting initiatives and collaborating with internal departments to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure financial data integrity.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, sales, and operations, to resolve financial discrepancies and optimize workflows.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and company policies to mitigate financial risks.
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel proficiently to analyze financial data and generate reports.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a SOCPA certificate or eligibility for SOCPA registration, demonstrating a strong foundation in Saudi accounting standards.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in accounting, with a proven track record in financial operations.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in using accounting systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
• Fluency in English with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional business environment.
• Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia, with a preference for candidates based in Jeddah or those willing to relocate.
