Senior Building Management Systems Engineer – Siemens Desigo Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer to join a premier project in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo BMS platforms and a demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end projects with precision and technical excellence. This role is critical to ensuring the successful implementation, operation, and optimization of advanced building automation systems across diverse project environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior BMS Engineer will be responsible for the full spectrum of building management system activities, from initial design and engineering through to commissioning, maintenance, and system upgrades. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong technical leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

• System Design & Engineering: Develop comprehensive BMS designs aligned with project specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Utilize Siemens Desigo V7 and V8 platforms to create scalable, efficient, and future-proof automation solutions.
• Installation & Configuration: Oversee the installation and configuration of Siemens Desigo BMS hardware and software components, ensuring seamless integration with building infrastructure and third-party systems.
• Programming & Integration: Design, code, and implement control logic and sequences for HVAC, lighting, fire safety, and other building systems. Integrate BMS with enterprise management platforms, IoT devices, and other automation systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct rigorous testing of BMS functionality, including hardware diagnostics, software validation, and performance benchmarking. Lead commissioning activities to ensure systems operate as intended prior to project handover.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide expert-level support for system faults, performance issues, and operational anomalies. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure long-term reliability and minimize downtime.
• System Upgrades & Enhancements: Evaluate existing BMS installations and recommend upgrades to improve functionality, security, and energy efficiency. Execute software and firmware updates while maintaining system integrity.
• Project Handover & Client Support: Facilitate smooth project transitions by preparing comprehensive documentation, training client teams, and providing ongoing technical support to ensure sustained system performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in BMS engineering, with a strong focus on Siemens Desigo platforms. Proficiency in Siemens Desigo V7 and V8 is essential, along with a deep understanding of building automation principles, control systems, and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field, and possess relevant certifications in BMS or automation technologies.
