Key Responsibilities

The Senior Treasury Specialist will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial resources, including cash flow forecasting, investment strategies, and debt management. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Cash and Liquidity Management: Oversee daily cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimization to ensure the company maintains adequate funds for operational and strategic needs. Implement best practices for cash pooling and concentration to enhance efficiency.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks. Develop and enforce treasury policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards. Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit protocols.
• Debt and Financing Strategies: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure favorable financing terms, including loans, credit facilities, and capital market instruments. Evaluate and recommend optimal debt structures to support the company’s financial strategy and long-term sustainability.
• Investment Management: Oversee the company’s investment portfolio, ensuring prudent allocation of surplus funds to maximize returns while maintaining liquidity and risk tolerance. Monitor market trends and economic indicators to inform investment decisions.
• Treasury Operations and Reporting: Lead the treasury team in executing transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. Prepare comprehensive reports on treasury performance, cash flow projections, and financial risks for senior management and stakeholders.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with the finance leadership team to align treasury strategies with the company’s overall financial goals. Provide insights and recommendations on capital structure, funding requirements, and financial risk mitigation to support business expansion and investment initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a strong academic background in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in treasury, corporate finance, or a similar financial discipline. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• A proven track record in cash management, liquidity planning, and financial risk mitigation within a corporate or multinational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of treasury systems, financial instruments, and regulatory frameworks, including IFRS and local financial regulations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively manage cross-functional teams, external stakeholders, and banking relationships.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent are highly desirable.
