TPM Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced TPM Engineer to lead the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program across our manufacturing plant. This critical role will drive sustainable improvements in equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and employee engagement while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• TPM Program Leadership: Lead and coordinate the plant’s TPM program in alignment with the site strategy, OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures), and regional/global TPM initiatives. Ensure full alignment with the site master plan and global TPM strategy.
• Continuous Improvement Culture: Proactively drive a culture of continuous improvement to achieve the site’s vision and KPIs. Serve as the subject matter expert for the Plant Manager and leadership team on all aspects of TPM governance, deployment, and best practices.
• Coaching and Training: Coach, train, and develop all site associates in TPM fundamentals, tools, and techniques, including 5S, Kaizens, OPLs (One-Point Lessons), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), CIL (Continuous Improvement Logs), and checklists. Ensure associates are certified in TPM according to Ecolab standards.
• Loss Analysis and Improvement: Identify and prioritize areas for continuous improvement through effective audits, benchmarking, and gap analysis. Develop and promote a loss-driven culture by applying appropriate TPM tools and techniques to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Co-create, coordinate, and organize the plant’s TPM steering committee, pillars, and teams to ensure consistent deployment and delivery of results. Support the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) pillar to align with the site master plan and drive SHE improvements.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report progress against site KPIs to identify and implement improvement programs. Ensure TPM philosophy, processes, and procedures are fully embedded into the site’s culture and ways of working.
• Regional Collaboration: Proactively contribute to the regional TPM community by sharing best practices, participating in peer reviews, HPN (High-Performance Networking) sessions, and case studies. Lead TPM pillars such as T&PD (Training & People Development) and 5S, and design a competency management system for the plant.
• Operational Excellence: Act as a role model for the plant team, particularly frontline associates, by spending time on the floor for observations, audits, and identifying gaps or defects. Lead by example to reinforce company values, vision, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TPM, Lean, Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and engage associates at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
• Proficiency in TPM tools and methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, SOP development, and loss analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and regional/global stakeholders.
• Certification as a TPM subject matter expert according to Ecolab standards is a plus.
